On 23 March 2005, EUROCONTROL paid Naviair a visit to present their 'Overall ATM/CNS Target Architecture' (OATA).
The meeting was arranged by Jørgen Jørgensen from Naviair, and from EUROCONTROL Alessandro Prister, Shanda Cordingley, and Randall De Garis participated. Furthermore, a wide range of stakeholders from Naviair attended the meeting.
What is OATA?
The OATA Project aims to provide an Overall ATM/CNS Target Architecture for the EUROCONTROL Organisation's programmes and projects.
Its purpose is to ensure cohesion of EUROCONTROL Organisation work, and to support the future Interoperability and Standardisation activities by providing an EATMP Technical Framework for the implementation of the ATM 2000+ Strategy.
The Overall ATM/CNS Target Architecture represents the high level design of an integrated ATM “system of systems” across all ECAC States, rather than the current collection of individual systems and identifies the dependencies and interfaces for the future systems.
Further information about OATA kan be found on the EUROCONTROL website.
