March 2010 Nordic Unified Air Traffic Control Director General Morten Dambæk, Naviair, has been appointed as chairman of the newly established Danish-Swedish company NUAC.
NUAC, owned jointly by Danish Naviair and Swedish LFV shall within a few years provide a unified Air Traffic Control in the Danish/Swedish Functional Airspace Block (FAB). The NUAC Company is set for the harmonization of airspace in the two Nordic countries and fulfill the ambitions of the EU's Single European Sky program on the efficiency of air traffic management. Let alone for Denmark and Sweden, a comprehensive and effecient Air Traffic Managementmean has potentials for reducing cost of the value of 100 million DKK annually.
