| Since the 5 March 2008 the ATC capacity has been raised gradually. This has, according to feedback from the airline companies, resulted in a discernible reduction in delays. Almost all delays are isolated to the high traffic density periods, both as regards en route traffic as well as traffic to and from Danish airports.
Moreover, the continued good cooperation between the airliners operational planning and Naviair on a daily basis still contributes to minimise the air traffic delays.
For Naviair, it has been an important criterion for success to be able to deliver the capacity that was planned and announced ahead of the implementation of the new air traffic management system. However, there have been more system faults and inconveniences than expected, entailing, for safety reasons, a postponement of the capacity increase that was scheduled for the middle of February. |
