| In 2009 Naviair and Swedish LFV implemented the plans of a future joint provision of air traffic control in Danish and Swedish airspace. These plans were realised through the establishment of a joint subsidiary NUAC HB together with the declaration by the Ministers for Transport of a joint airspace (FAB = Functional Airspace Block). Through this cooperation Denmark and Sweden are among the leaders in ATM related to the ambition of the EU to harmonize and streamline the air traffic management in Europe – with the aim of actual advantages for airlines, passengers as well as the environment.
