København FIR

København FIR (Flight Information Region) extends from out in the North Sea across to the east of Zealand and from the German border to a good way up towards Norway. 

Within this FIR there are different types of airspace, and therefore Naviair has a number of different types of air traffic control depending upon what type of airspace an aircraft is located in:

• ACC - Area Control Center
• APP - Approach control
• TWR/ATWR - Tower/Apron tower
• COIF - Flight Information Service (Copenhagen Information)

Adjacent Flight Information Regions (FIRs) and Upper Flight Information Regions (UIRs)
Sweden FIR/UIR, Norway FIR/UIR, Scottish FIR/UIR, London FIR/UIR, Amsterdam FIR, Bremen FIR, Hanover UIR and Rhine UIR.
