During the next many years, development of the European ATM industry will challenge Naviair’s business model concerning cost effectiveness, service, use of airspace as well as the ability to attract qualified manpower.

In 2009 we have realized our vision of strengthening the cooperation with our Swedish sister company LFV/ANS and established a joint subsidiary, NUAC.

In the next few years, NUAC will take over the Air Traffic Control (en-route etc.) in the DK/SE Functional Airspace Block (FAB).

This allows a possibility to implement substantial synergies for the benefit of our airlines, the passengers as well as the environment through reduction of flight time and fuel as well as a generally less expensive yet more efficient air control.

The Danish and Swedish Ministries of Transport declared a Danish-Swedish FAB (Functional Airspace Block) 17 December 2009. With this Denmark and Sweden lead the way for the European countries in realizing the ambitions of the EU to harmonize the air traffic in Europe and to make the air control more efficient.
