COOPeration between ANS providers

COOPANS is a coorperation with the objective to harmonise procedures and standardise the respektive ATM-systems, which are the foundation for the delivery of air navigation services.

The cooperation takes place between the service provideers in Sweden, Ireland and Denmark, and with Thales as supplier and partner.

The aim is a harmonisation with regular upgrades in order to avoid a complete replacement of the ATM-systems approximately every 15 years. A complete replacement of the ATM-systems is a very costly and time-consuming affair and is connected with high risks in connection with the initialization of the new systems.
