Naviair’s activities are financed, among other sources, by payments from airlines based on the distance travelled by each aircraft in Danish airspace. The SERIS (Statistical, Economic and Route charges Information System) automatically records all flights on the basis of radar data and flight plans. SERIS is the most efficient billing system on the market and thus reduces administrative costs drastically.

At the same time the system ensures fast and accurate reporting to the European organization for the safety of air navigation, Eurocontrol in Brussels, where the Central Route Charges Office prepares the billing for the airlines. LINKS: > Eurocontrol
